Yvonne Jones

Yvonne E. Jones, Age 85, Of Battle Creek, Died Friday, April 11, 2014 at Boschway Adult Foster Care. Yvonne was born on October 1, 1928, in Battle Creek, the daughter of William and Ida Mae (McRoberts) Pearson. Yvonne worked for Westin Biscuit Company, the Kellogg Company and retired from Battle Creek Public Schools where she worked mainly at Southeastern School in the cafeteria. On March 16, 1948, she was united in marriage to Paul T. Jones who survives. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. She enjoyed feeding the birds, working in her flower garden, basket weaving, ceramics and loved to bake. Surviving is a son, Greg (Nancy) Jones of Dowling; grandchildren, Tatiana and Gregory Jones, Ryan and Chad Juarez; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Worthington of Battle Creek and Mildred (Deland) Guile of Louisiana. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebekah Landis; her parents; brothers, Robert and Bus Seaman and a sister, Margie Seaman- Mrozovich. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with The Very Rev. Mark J. Vyverman, V.F. officiating. Interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
