Winifred Mcculley

Winifred M. McCulley, age 89, of Battle Creek, passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2022.  She was born on November 29, 1932 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Nelson and Grace (Young) Jacox.  Winifred was a lifelong area resident and graduate of Battle Creek Central High School.  She was previously employed by Security National Bank as an executive administrative assistant and at the Battle Creek Federal Center from which she retired after 20 years of service.  Winifred enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Winifred was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Robert, Nelson, and Donald Lee Jacox, sister; Beatrice Dyer, and half-brothers; Clifford and Charles Bolda.  Winifred was united in marriage on March 20, 1954 to her beloved husband, Jim McCulley, he survives.  Also surviving are her children; Jack V. McCulley of Battle Creek, Miranda L. (Dr. Kyle) Smith of Birmingham, MI., grandchildren; Dr. Zachary Smith of Troy, MI., and Alyssa Smith of Okemos, MI. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 21, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Funeral service scheduled for 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Dementia Society of America.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
