Wilma Sargent

Wilma Ione Sargent,Age 88,Of Battle Creek, Passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, quietly with her family by her side. Wilma was born on September 18, 1925, in Jackson, MI, the daughter of Noah and Luella (Iliff) Shaver. Wilma worked for the Kellogg Company for 37 years retiring in 1985, and was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. In recent years she loved to travel, read books and enjoyed visiting with the members of her Mickey D. Club. She is survived by a sister, Arlajean DeBoe of Concord, MI; a brother, Harvey Edward (Joyce) Shaver of Battle Creek; several nieces and nephews. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles Harley Sargent in December of 1999; her parents and a brother, Duane E, Shaver. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Honor Flight Network, 300 E.
