William Knowles

William L. Knowles, age 88, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence. He was born February 28, 1932 in Genoa, Ohio the son of Clarence Mack and Flossie Anna (Dunn) Knowles. Bill was an electrician at Clark Equipment Company for 32 years, retiring in 1981. He served in the Michigan Army National Guard for 12 years, loved camping and travelling and was a gifted handyman who could fix anything. On May 5, 1956 he was married to Beverley A. (Walsh) who survives. Also surviving are their four children: Vickie Barlond, Lynda (Joe) Knowles-Panczyk, David Knowles and Joy Dore all of Battle Creek; five grandchildren: William (Lacey) Knowles, Gina (Eddie) Kline, Annie Archie, Ryan (Samantha) Wolf and Stevi (Trevor) Hegner and thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister: Annette Alderson of Bellevue and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Mary Jo Bowen and Claris Charameda.
