William Ginn

William L. Ginn, age 78, died March 2, 2012 at The Oaks, Battle Creek. Bill was born the second of seven children on November 6, 1933 in Detroit, son of Francis and Laurina (Girard) Ginn. He was united in marriage on May 29, 1954 to the former Evelyn J. Kuzma. Bill was retired from Ford Motor Company where he was employed for 41 years. Before he retired in 1995, he was a designer in the Engineering department. Bill was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Battle Creek. He enjoyed dancing with his wife, crossword puzzles, taking walks, and spending time with his family. Bill is survived by his wife, Evelyn, his eight children and their spouses, Bill (Kimberly), Doug, Leanne (Steve) Garrett, Mark (Sandy), Sue (Paul) Mason, Matt, (Bonnie), Paula (Greg) Mason, Beth (Kevin) Priddy. Also surviving are, 23 grandchildren, one great grandson, a brother, Paul (Sherron) Ginn, and sisters, Mary (Richard) Osborn, Laurina (Howard) Cline, Shirley Ann (Otto) Birgi, and Theresa List. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ginn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1pm Tuesday March 6, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Battle Creek with The Rev. David Grondz officiating. Family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Monday with a Scripture Service at 7pm at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff at The Oaks for taking such wonderful care of Bill in his last days. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to The Alzheimer’s Association. www.alz.org
