William Clements

William John Clements, age 90, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at The Oaks at Northpointe Woods. He was born November 3, 1926 in New Haven, Michigan the son of William Edward and Betty (Wentworth) Clements, Sr. A 1945 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Bill excelled in all sports. He went on to Ferris State University where he played basketball and attended Argubright Business College. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from April of 1945 to November of 1946. Bill had worked at Kellogg’s, Copyright Printing in Marshall, Choice Auto Sales and was a co-owner of The Dolphin Lounge. He was a member of the P.N.A. Club and The Eagles Lodge, and was an avid bowler and golfer. On October 1, 1960, he was married to Marilyn L. (Horn) Clements, who preceded him in death on October 30, 2014. Bill was also preceded by his parents and a granddaughter Shelbi Clements. He is survived by two sons: Bill Clements of Kalamazoo and Jeff (Shayne) Clements of Battle Creek; grandson Jacob Clements and great granddaughter Zoi Rae Clements; half-brother Charles “Chuck” Clements of Battle Creek and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Richard A.
