William Henry Bachman, of Battle Creek, exchanged time for eternity on April 27, 2017 in the care of his loving children.
Bill was born at home in St. Clair Shores, Michigan on June 22, 1928 to William Henry and Clara Frances Bachman. He grew up with his brothers Paul and Ed Sampson and Robert Bachman.
Bill enjoyed his family and life in general. He was blessed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
A graduate of Lakeshore High School in St. Clair Shores, Bill attended Western Michigan University and served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean War.
As a businessman, Bill owned and operated Body Shop Supply in Battle Creek for thirty-two years. The majority of those years he worked side by side with his son.
Bill is survived by his three children, Debra Wondergem, Nancy (Bryon) Taber, Todd (MaryAnne) Bachman; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Ohm, Jacob (Kelly) Taber, Allison Claire (Matthew) Ray, Andrew (Brianne) Bachman, Daniel, Jonathan and Rebecca Bachman; five great-grandchildren, Piper Mitchell, Tessa, Colby and Sloane Taber and Kennedy Ray.
