Wesley Franklin Swart, 53, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021. He was born October 22, 1967 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Franklin D.R. and Jacquelin D. (Smith) Swart. Wes currently worked for Glenn Valley Apartments with prior work in the heating and cooling industry. He loved playing bass in multiple bands throughout his life. He was a relentless fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and got to see them win the Superbowl last year. Wesley loved spending time with his bloodhounds, family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cindy J. (Schott) Swart of Battle Creek; sisters: Carolee Swart of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Erica Swart of Enid, Oklahoma, Judith (Aaron) Popp of Ocala, Florida and Julie Schott of Battle Creek; brothers: John Blackwell of California, Jerry Swart of Enid, Oklahoma, Duane (Amy) Schott and Randy Schott of Battle Creek; along with many nieces and nephews. His closest friends Grant (Amber) Mann, Kelby Daniels and Keith Evans made his last days memorable. Wes chose to be positive in his long years of survival of his illnesses. Because of his way of life, many who knew him, each have memories of our “Wetty”. Graveside services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, and a celebration of his life following.
