Wesley Rodger “Pops” Swafford, Died September 3, 2021, Wesley went to his eternal home. He was born August 12, 1957, in Soddy Daisey, Tennessee. Wesley loved many things in his lifetime. In his younger days he enjoyed working on cars, and spending time with his family. As he got older, he enjoyed watching his grandkids grow and play, watching NASCAR, and the Detroit Tigers with a cold Budweiser. There was never a dull moment with Wesley around. There was no question he lived as hard as he loved. He was lovingly referred to as the neighborhood dad, or “Pops” by the many children he welcomed into his home and heart. He will be missed and loved by those he left behind. Arrangements for cremation were made through the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. The family will hold a graveside memorial service at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. Any and all friends and family are welcomed and encouraged to attend, and join us as we lay Wesley to rest and say our final goodbyes.
