Wanda Mae Willi, age 79, of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday surrounded by her loving family, January 5, 2016. She was born April 26, 1936 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Erwin A. and Ruth M. (Kidder) Sincler. Wanda lived in Tuscon, Arizona and Rapid City, South Dakota for a short time, but spent the majority of her life in Battle Creek and Athens. She was a 1954 graduate of Lakeview High School and retired from the Federal Center in Defense Reutilization and Marketing Services in 1989 due to health reasons. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilting and crocheting, and donated hats that she made to the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. For over 50 years Wanda belonged to the same card club. She is survived by three sons: Frank (Lori) Willi of Battle Creek, Kevin Willi(Craig Resseguie) of Portage and Chris (Jose) Willi Mejia of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter: Karla (Neil) Winkel of Schoolcraft; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and one brother: William Sincler of Alpena. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Joseph Robert Willi in 1960 and one sister Virginia Singer. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held 1:00p.m.Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Burr Oak Cemetery in Athens.
