Wanda Mccomb

Wanda L. McComb, Age 87, Of Hickory Corners, Died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Borgess Medical Center. Wanda was born on April 28, 1927, the daughter of Louis and Isabelle Dempsey. She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Battle Creek Central High School. In 1964 she was united in marriage to Ronald McComb who preceded her in death on September 24, 2008. She was employed in the canteen service at Fort Custer during the war, and then later worked for L.W.  Robinson’s and then Cut Rate Supermarket. She enjoyed golfing in her younger years, traveling the world and attending trade shows with her husband. Surviving is a son, Terry Bates, step-children, Ronald (Fusako) McComb, Jr., Dennis (Gini) McComb and Carol Jean (Donald) Conant; grandchildren, Lisa Elliott, Wendi McComb, Charles McComb, Chad McComb, Jason Conant, Tammy Olsen and Gary Olsen; several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pricilla Olsen, a grandson, Randy Olsen and a sister, Zella and an infant sister, Rosemary Dempsey. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the funeral home with The Rev. Travis Davis officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
