Vivian J. Lake, 92, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday July 6, 2013 at Evergreen Senior Care and Rehab Center. She was born on February 16, 1921 in Moscow Twp. Hillsdale County, MI to Clive and Elinor (Barnes) Center.
Vivian graduated from Horton High School in 1937 and Argubright Business College in 1939. She was employed by Weston Biscuit, Security National Bank, and the International UAW office in Battle Creek from 1959 until 1983.
She was united in marriage on May 21, 1943 to Robert M. Lake, he preceded her in death in 1988. Vivian was also preceded in death by a brother, Dane Center, and sisters, Bea Kunze and Marilyn Smith.
She is survived by a brother, Dean Center, of Hanover, MI.
Vivian was a member of Westlake Presbyterian Church, the Naomi Ruth Circle, and had served as a Deacon. She enjoyed bowling and had been a volunteer in the community.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place.
There will be no service, private burial of ashes will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be given to Westlake Presbyterian Church.
