Virginia "Jeanne" Morris

November 10, 1927 — March 13, 2017

Virginia “Jeanne” Morris age 89, of Richland, Michigan passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo.  She was born on November 10, 1927 in Kapala, Hawaii, the daughter of Manuel and Marie (Correa) Pimental.  Virginia graduated in 1945 from Kaimuki High School in Honolulu, Hawaii.  She later was united in marriage in 1947 to her husband; Charles J. Morris in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Virginia was a member of St. Philips Catholic Church for over fifty years, and was a volunteer in their thrift shop.  She was employed as an administrative assistant for the Sears warehouse for ten years.  Virginia enjoyed reading, traveling in their motor home, and was an avid Pennfield High School Athletic fan for over thirty five years, watching several family members sporting events.  She was preceded in death by her parents; Manuel and Marie Pimental, husband of 52 years; Charles J. Morris, brothers; Manuel and Ernest Pimental.  Virginia is survived by a daughter; Cheryl (KC) Smith of  Richland, MI., sons; Bob (Kathy) Morris of Hickory Corners, MI., David Morris of Big Fork, MT., sisters; Gladys Tominga of Stevensville, CA., Bernice (Frank) Bettencourt of Ceres, CA., brother; William (Ruby) Pimental of Coal Valley, IL., five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm, Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am, Monday, March 20, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 12648 East D Avenue, Augusta, MI. with Fr. John Fleckenstein, Celebrant, interment to follow at Hicks Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Ann Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
