Violet Paganini

Violet Bliznakoff Paganini, 88, who loved to be called Baba by her grandkids Jackson and Holden, departed her family to join her beloved Frank on March 14th, 2022. Violet was born at home, the second of six siblings, in Battle Creek, MI on January 10th, 1934 to Mary and Vasil (Bill) Bliznakoff.  She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School where she was the 1952 Battle Creek Cereal Bowl and Homecoming Queen. Violet is survived by her son Anthony Paganini and wife Emma, daughter Monica Paganini Lindmark and husband Brian, her sister Ruth, sister-in-law Kathleen Bliznakoff, brother-in-law Thom Baker, plus many wonderful nephews and nieces. She raised her two children with love and motherly devotion in Chicago, IL, Louisville, KY, Ripon, WI, Dayton, OH, and St. Joseph, MI, alongside her devoted husband Frank who preceded her in death in 2004. Violet was a proud stay-at-home mother, homemaker, and loyal wife, who enjoyed travel, watching cooking shows, her garden club, volunteering at local art venues, and being with her family throughout the challenges and joys of life. She loved Serbian and Italian food, strawberry desserts, Florida beach walks, Michigan State football, long conversations with her family, dancing with Frank, and the company of their loyal Bichon Frise, Ruffles, who was by her side for 16 years.  Family and friends are invited to say their final goodbye and celebrate Violet’s life during visitation at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 703 Capital Ave S.W., Battle Creek, MI on Saturday, March 26th from 11am-12:30 pm EST with a service to follow at 1pm at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, we kindly request donations to UN Refugee Agency https://www.unhcr.org/ be made in Violet’s name. www.henryfuneralhome.org
