Vincent Leon Pilch, age 91, of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Country Acres Adult Care Home in Eaton Rapids. He was born January 20, 1922 in Flint, Michigan the son of Ludwika and Marii (Krystyan) Pilch. Mr. Pilch served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a heavy equipment operator working for Hoffman Construction and Murray Construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being with his family. Mr. Pilch was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mabel L. (Wert) Pilch, three sisters: Bernice Theisen, Mary Miller and Louise Parks and one brother Michael Pilch. Surviving are three daughters: Shirley (Don) Davis, Sharon (Don) Zimmerman and Patty (Joe) Campbell; many step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Stewart of Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
