Vicki Smith

Vicki M. Smith, age 66, of Battle Creek passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016.  She was born November 5, 1949 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Clyde and Elizabeth (Bissonette) Beckley.  She was married in September 1980 to Patrick Smith.  Vicki graduated from St. Philip Catholic Central High School in 1967 and was a lifelong area resident of Battle Creek.   She was employed from 1973 to 2003 by the city of Battle Creek in their finance department.  Vicki was an avid book reader, enjoyed watching soap operas, and going out to eat with her former co-workers.  She loved spending time with her dog companion “Lucky”.  She was preceded in death by her father Clyde in 1980, mother Elizabeth in 2011, and husband Patrick in 2007.  Vicki is survived by a brother, Mark Beckley, three sisters, Susan Palmer, Debra Andrews and Mary Wilson, all of Battle Creek; Several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 1:00   PM, Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral home with interment to follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery..  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Monday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.  www.henryfuneralhome.org
