Veronica Harter

Veronica L. “Bonnie” Harter, age 94, of Battle Creek, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Bronson Battle Creek after a brief illness. She was born October 9, 1922 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Earl N. and Margaret (McPhillips) Schoder. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1940 and worked at the Kellogg Company, packaging division and retired from there after 43 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Schoder. Surviving is her son, Phillip E. (Mary Pat) Harter, three grandchildren, Jonathan (Amber) Harter, Benjamin (Holly) Harter and Maureen (Christopher) Mowl whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church with The Rev. Christopher Ankley officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
