Treva Dolores Christmas

Treva D. Christmas, age 97 of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Lakeview Assisted Living. She was born January 26, 1927, in Crossville, Tennessee to Ed and Venus Hancock. Following her graduation Treva went to work in Oak Ridge, Tennessee where she worked on the atomic bomb. She later moved to Battle Creek and married Estel Christmas in 1947. Treva worked at Kellogg’s for a short time and later as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Lakeview General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and three brothers. Treva is survived by her son Ronald Christmas and his wife Carol; two grandsons: Kevin and Keith; two great-grandchildren: Madeline and Zachary, and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed reading, shopping and playing golf. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
