Timothy Kelley

November 23, 1951 — April 22, 2012

Timothy James Kelley passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012 in the early morning; near his children in Atlanta, GA. Tim was born November 23, 1951 to Anna and Eugene Kelley in Battle Creek, Michigan. Tim graduated from Saint Philip Catholic School in 1969 and received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Indiana University. He served in the Army for 2 years during the Vietnam War where he worked as a Chaplin’s Assistant in Texas. He owned Kwik Kopy Printing in Atlanta, GA for 22 years and was an active Rotary member.  He is survived by his daughters, Terri (Peter) Allabaugh and Dana Kelley and his four sons, Javid, Aaron, Rowian, and Max Kelley; grandchildren, Cooper McAuley, Lydia, Rachel, Seth and Mark Allabaugh. Also surviving are two sisters: Patti Staib and Terri (Steve) Sutherland, and two brothers: John and Richard (Marcia) Kelley; and several nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael. Tim was a joyful man who worked hard, played hard, and shared love with everyone around him. He believed in the power of kindness and helping others, something he practiced often. He thrived from experiencing life with loved ones, from jokes and bets to nature and fine meals. Tim’s family would like to thank all of his friends and family who have prayed for him. He was always talking about how grateful he was for all of you. Tim wanted people to remember him and enjoy the good times you had with him. Visitation will be held at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Thursday, April 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with visitation from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.  We invite you to celebrate our father’s life and join us in sharing your memories. In lieu of flowers, please send cards to: Aaron Kelley, 2628 Sherlock Drive, Decatur GA 30034. Donations may be made to the local Habitat for Humanity. We love and miss you Dad.
