Timothy Hoxie

Timothy Joel  Hoxie, Age 60, Of Springfield, MI, Died Sunday, December 11, 2016. Tim was born March 9, 1956, in Battle Creek, MI, to Duane Melvin and Bette Ilene (Baldwin) Hoxie. He grew up in Battle Creek and attended St. Joseph Elementary and graduated from St. Philip Catholic Central in 1974. He received an Associate’s degree from Northern Michigan University in 1978. Tim was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church. He graduated from high school with six letters in football, basketball and baseball. Tim was an avid sports fan and loved the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings and was a University of Michigan fanatic. He also enjoyed playing golf, cards and listening to music. Tim was outgoing and met people easily. He will be remembered for his sense of humor. Surviving are his daughter, Brittney Hoxie of Northern Michigan; four grandchildren; three brothers, Mike (Kay) Hoxie of Quincy, IL, Pat (Marcia) Hoxie of Jackson, MI and Duane (Julie) Hoxie of Three Rivers, MI; sisters, Linda (Roy) Fields of Battle Creek, Teresa (Duane) Johnson of Battle Creek and Denise (Craig) Judd of Battle Creek; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and their families. Tim was preceded in death by his parent’s. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place.  A private family memorial will be held. Memorials may be made to Bronson at Home Hospice.
