Thomas Wawzysko

Thomas M. Wawzysko age 78, of Battle Creek, passed away on July 8, 2017.  He was born on March 7, 1939 in Battle Creek, the son of Michael and Josephine (Groholski) Wawzysko.  Thomas was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1958.  He was an Armor Crewman in the United States Army.  Thomas was united in marriage on February 24, 1968 in Battle Creek, to Linda Wright.  He was employed by the Kellogg Company for over forty years.  Thomas was a member of the Kellogg Twenty-Five Year Club and the B.C. Steel Headers.  He was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating.  He was a dedicated family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren and passing on his enthusiasm for nature.  Thomas was preceded in death by his brother; Joe Wawzysko, half-brother; John Wawzysko and half-sister; Rosemary Kowalczyk.  Surviving are his wife of forty-nine years, Linda Wawzysko of Battle Creek, daughter; Marcie (Brian) Tidd of Lakewood, Colorado, and his grandchildren Lucille and Everett Tidd.  Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with visitation one hour prior to service with Pastor James Codde officiating.  Interment will take place at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
