Susan Hickman

Susan L. Hickman, age 72, of Battle Creek, passed away on April 12, 2021 at her residence.  She was born in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Ira and Doris (Carr) Baryo.  Susan had lived in Battle Creek for the majority of her life.  She was a homemaker and previously worked at Denso Manufacturing.  Susan  was a member at First Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek, and worked as Director of the Church Nursery.  Susan loved crafting and  specialized in card making.  She also enjoyed; cross stitching and crocheting, ceramics, bowling and traveling, especially to Mackinaw City.  Susan loved spending time and making memories with her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son; Kevin   brother; Randy James Baryo and grandson; Liam.  She was united in marriage on November 12, 1995 to Christopher Hickman, he survives.  Also surviving are  daughter; Tracey Jacqueline Ellerthorpe of Battle Creek, sons; Troy (Heather) Randall Kilpatrick of Bloomfield Hills, MI., Travis (Karen) Jon Kilpatrick of Kennesaw, GA., twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Masks are required of those in attendance, and 25 persons allowed in the funeral home at a time.  Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday April 16, 2021 at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Rev. Patricia Weatherwax officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital:
