Susan J. Fruin, 59, of Battle Creek passed away Wednesday April 17, 2013 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born on December 27, 1953 to George V. and Alice P. (Kuhlman) Cruickshank.
Susan graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1971, Kellogg Community College in 1973 with an Associate’s Degree in Art and in 1987 with an Associate’s Degree in Computers. She had been employed by Gallagher Industrial Laundry. Susan was united in marriage to Warren R. Fruin on September 15, 1990 in Battle Creek.
Susan is survived by her husband, Warren, sons, Rick A. Stallings, of Kalamazoo, Jeffrey D. Stallings, daughters, Sarah J. Stallings, and Taria L. Hamilton, all of Battle Creek, three grandchildren, Christopher A. Timmons, Logan D. and Alexis V. Stallings, and a brother, James G. (Ellen) Cruickshank, of VA. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nancy J. Figel in 1998.
Susan was a teen Red Cross volunteer, a Red Cross Clown, and the 1st Girl Scout in Explorer Scouts.
A memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday April 23, 2013 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Robert J. Mayo of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the family
