Shirley E. Price, 82, of Battle Creek passed away Monday December 3, 2012 at the Schaffer Senior Care Home. She was born on September 8, 1930 in Bronson, MI to William J. and Nile (Clark) Roebuck.
Shirley graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1948. She married Jack Prior who preceded her in death in 1970. Shirley then was united in marriage to Ken Price on March 4, 1988. She was employed for 37 years by Michigan National Bank retiring as Vice President of Operations in 1987. Shirley then worked for two years at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Shirley enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and shopping.
She is survived by her husband, Ken, three sons, Blaine A. Prior, of Battle Creek, Kevin L. (Roxanna) Prior, of Hastings, and Garth A. (Nona) Prior, of Battle Creek, a daughter, Candace A. Ginn, of Kannapolis, NC; a step-son, Douglas (Sandy) Price, of McKinney, TX; a step-daughter, Cynthia (Larry) Hoxey, of Ypsilanti, MI; seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Shirley was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ken, Clark, and Gordon Roebuck, and a granddaughter, Sara Jabkiewicz.
Services will be held 1pm Thursday December 6, 2012 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer’s Association.
