Shirley England

Shirley A. England, age 70, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019. She was born May 4, 1949 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of James M. and Hazel L. (James) England. Shirley was a 1967 graduate of Lakeview High School and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a cosmetologist working at Ferrari’s Hair Salon for over 10 years and had also worked at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. She also owned and operated Covenant Driving School for several years. Shirley attended Pleasantview Family Church and was a member of American Legion Post 298 Auxiliary. She is survived by her brother: Jim (Kathy) England; niece: Lisa Watson; nephew: Joe (Carrie) England; five great nieces and nephews: Jacob and Nicholas Watson, Olivia and Abbigail Taft and Emma England; a close cousin: Sharon McFellin and her children Kristi and John McFellin, and several other cousins and their families. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 5, 2019 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Olmstead officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
