Shelly Hiltner

Shelly L. Kohfeldt-Hiltner, Age 39, Of Battle Creek, Died Thursday, December 17, 2015, in Kalamazoo. Shelly was born on May 10, 1976, in Hastings, MI, the daughter of Richard and Sandra (McDonald) Kohfeldt. She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Lakeview High School in 1994. She graduated from Kellogg Community College with a LPN in Nursing and Miller College with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. On July 23, 2011, she was united in marriage to Chad M. Hiltner who survives. Shelly was an avid reader, enjoyed being in the sun, boating and being with her children and her family. Surviving are children, Jake and Madelyn Converse, Brock and Kyle Hiltner; brothers, Michael (Amanda) McDonald and Erik (Jessica) Pero; a sister, Anna (Dru) Fontaine; father, Richard Kohfeldt; step-mother, Juanita Kohfeldt; in-laws, Michael Hiltner, John and Annette Zalner and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra McDonald. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 to 6:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 21, 2015 at the funeral home.
