Sheila Jean (Sain) Lancaster

Sheila Jean (Sain) Lancaster, age 66, of Battle Creek, passed away on July 29, 2024 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born on July 14,1958 in White Pine, Michigan, the daughter of Marvin Sain and Beverly (Cook) Collins. She came to Battle Creek in 1968 from Wakefield, Michigan. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1976. Sheila previously worked as a nurse at Leila Hospital then went on to work at Tokai Rica, Duncan Aviation and Lifespan from which she retired in 2017. Sheila loved her dogs, her M&M and Precious Moments collection, doing artwork and going to craft shows. She enjoyed spending time with her (BFF) a longtime friend, Gail Long. Sheila looked forward to Friday night dinners with family and making wonderful memories them. Sheila was united in marriage on January 19, 2008 to Rick Lancaster, he survives. Also surviving are her son, Brian (Amanda) Rogers of Battle Creek, father, Marvin Sain of Battle Creek, brother, Lloyd (Sherry) Sain of Battle Creek, sister, Sheryl (Sain) Collins of Battle Creek. Several nieces and nephews, Joey Collins, Nikki Collins, Kyle Sain, Amber Sain, several cousins and eight grandchildren. Sheila absolutely adored all of her grandchildren. Sheila was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly (Cook) Collins, niece, Rachel (Sain) Shaver. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral service scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the funeral home with Rev. Tim Smothers officiating. Interment will follow the service at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Sheila’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
