Shawn Wolney

Shawn J. Wolney, age 39, of Battle Creek, went to walk with Christ on December 26, 2014. He was born December 5, 1975 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Joe and Pam (Case) Wolney. Shawn was a graduate of Harper Creek High School. He worked at Papa Johns and later Denso. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Shawn enjoyed watching Detroit Tiger baseball, drawing, horticulture, fishing and spending time with his family. Shawn was preceded in death by his step-father Garry Millard, Sr. and nephew Ian Millard. Surviving is his mom Jean Millard; brothers: Garry Millard, Jr., Roe Millard and Roddy Millard; sister: Carolyn Reed; nephews: Jake, Tyler, Kyle, Cole, Stone and Drew; nieces: Kallie, Martina, Shereelyn, Hannah and Quinn; great-niece: Eliana; and many aunts, uncles and cousins he loved. Shawn’s family would like to thank the staff at Hope Network and also Arcadia Home Care and Staffing for the great care they provided for Shawn that allowed him to live in his own home.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. www.henryfuneralhome.org
