Shana L. Huerta

Shana L. (Douglas) Huerta, age 51, of Battle Creek, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. She was born May 27, 1972, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Arlis Ray Douglas Jr. and Linda (Fales) Carlton. Shana was a 1990 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and earned an associate degree from Kellogg Community College. She is survived by her fiancé Samantha Juve of Battle Creek; two sisters: Jennifer (Shawn) Coon of Battle Creek and Ardith Carlton and Corky Visminas of Hurley, Wisconsin; brother Todd Carlton of Arlington, Texas; nephews and nieces: Hunter Coon, Cayleigh (Dylan Parker) Coon, Bailey Wood, Logan Wood and Kay (Brandon) Williams; and stepdaughters: Ashley (Alex Smith) Kasten, Hannah Kasten and Maddy Kasten. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Shana’s life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor John Grafton and Pastor Kelly Hadlich officiating.
