Scott A. Sackrider, age 57, of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at University Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born February 27, 1965, in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Gary Adrian and Susan Kay (Robinson) Sackrider. Scott was a 1983 graduate of Springfield High School. For the past twenty years, Scott has worked at Denso as a machinist and prior to that worked with his dad at the family business, Gary’s Tire Service for fifteen years. On December 28, 1991, Scott married Jennifer A. Simpson who survives. He is also survived by their three children: Kelsey Sackrider of Walden, New York, Austin Sackrider of St. Louis, Missouri and Kalli Sackrider of Battle Creek; his dog Zeus and grand dog Murphy; his mother Susan Pearson of Battle Creek; two sisters: Sunni (Mark) Clissold of Battle Creek and Tina Higgins of Battle Creek; two uncles: Bill (Barb) Sackrider of Scotts and Larry (Melanie) Sackrider of Galesburg; his aunt: Sue (Jim) Cornell of Otsego; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his father. Scott loved his family deeply and was happiest being a part of his kid’s activities while they were in school. He also enjoyed music and was great at music trivia. He bowled in various leagues over the years and loved camping with his family. All types of auto racing were one of his other favorite hobbies, and he had been a member of the pit crew for both Fred Campbell and John Coffman. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Sunday, May 1 st from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Victory Life Church. A private interment will be held at a later date.
