Sandra Mahoney

Sandra K. Mahoney, age 71, of Battle Creek, passed away on July 14, 2021, at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.  She was born on June 3, 1950, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Roger and Billie (Blanton) Keagle.  She was a lifelong area resident of Battle Creek, and a 1968 graduate of Harper Creek High School.  Sandra was previously employed in administration at Southwest Rehab, retiring in 2008.  She was a volunteer with the Humane Society and Bronson Battle Creek.  Sandra enjoyed gardening, music, antiques, browsing houses for sale, and animals, especially dogs.  She was united in marriage on December 31, 1981, to David Mahoney, he preceded her in death on September 2, 2007.  Also preceding her in death were her parents.  She is survived by her children; Sean Mahoney and Maegan Mahoney,  grandson; Shane Mahoney, great Grandson; James Mahoney, all of Battle Creek, sister in laws; Karen and Linda Mahoney of Lansing.  Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Rev.  Dr. James M. Gysel officiating.  Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan or Susan G.
