Samuel A. Busefink, age 87 of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Tidewell Hospice in Bradenton. He was born July 15, 1925 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Edward and Modena (Ash) Busefink. Sam served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and following his discharge began working at the Kellogg Company from which he retired in 1984. Following his retirement he and his wife Helen moved to Bradenton where they made their home. Mr. Busefink was preceded in death by his wife on April 25, 2011, his sister Martha Busefink Gilbert and his parents. Surviving are two nephews: Thomas R. (LuAnn) Gilbert of Cumming, GA and John D. (Lori) Gilbert of Papillion, NE; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. James A. Gysel officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service and interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
