Ruth Ann “Ruthie”  Baird, Age 63, Died Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Bronson Battle Creek. Ruth was born on November 14, 1951, in Battle Creek, the daughter of John Paul and Linda (Weddle) Jones. She was a 1970 graduate of Harper Creek High School.  She moved to Amarillo, Texas for 3 years in the early 70’s then moved back to Battle Creek. In 1976 she was united in marriage to Jack M. Baird II who preceded her in death in 2014. She had been employed as a waitress at Shrank’s for 20 years. She worked at II Stanley for 2 years in the early 2000’s then went back to Shrank’s until their closing in 2006. She loved crafts, making ribbons and bows, M &M’s and bowling.  She was always quick with a joke or an inappropriate comment. She loved making others laugh. She knew someone wherever she went, even as far as Florida. She loved her children and granddaughters with all her heart and was her pride and joy. She would consider her children her greatest accomplishment. Surviving are her sons, Brian (Kelly Raines) Baird and Jack M. (Jennifer) Baird III; a daughter, Shawn Dean; granddaughters, Samantha, Ariana and Jane; honorary granddaughter, Colleen; brothers, Larry (Fran) Jones, Gary (Janet) Jones, Jim (Sandy) Jones and Mike (Terri) Jones; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Jones, Peggy (David) Mingus and Robin Arnold; several nieces and nephews.. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Rick Jones. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 9, 2015, at the funeral home with The Rev. Dennis  K. Siddall officiating.  Interment will be at Banfield Cemetery. www.henryfuneralhome.org
