Roy W. Schrock, age 96, of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. He was born November 12, 1918 in Adams County, Indiana the son of Samuel and Polly (Bontrager) Schrock. Mr. Schrock served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1944 to 1946. Following his honorable discharge he worked at dental labs in Battle Creek for 10 years and later retired from Ralston Purina where he had worked for 30 years. He was a member of Hope Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. Mr. Schrock is survived by his children: Shirley (Norm) Saunders of Florida, Beverley Sprick of Battle Creek, Norma Hankey of Kalamazoo and Larry (Marci) Schrock of Kentucky; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; two brothers: Kenneth (Pat) Brenner of Arizona and Donald (Carol) Brenner of Marshall and sister: Dorethea Beebe of Marshall. He was preceded in death by his wife: Alice (Snyder); parents: Samuel Schrock and Polly Brenner; step-father: Arthur Brenner; three sisters: Lydia Harris, Lucille Kent and Marcella Drake; and brother: Eugene Brenner. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. William Dulworth officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
