Robert Williams

Robert N. Williams age 76, of Battle Creek, passed away on May 18, 2017 at Borgess Hospital. He was born on June 7, 1940 in Battle Creek, the son of William and Margery (Finley) Williams. Robert was a 1958 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, following high school he served in the US Army. Robert was employed by the Kellogg Company for over thirty-five years before retiring in 1995. He was active in the Pennfield Lions Club, Junior Achievement and the Cub Scouts. Robert enjoyed going to flea markets and craft shows, wood working & leather projects, camping, bowling and golf. He was preceded in death by his father; William H. Williams in 1967, mother; Margery Williams in 1990; sisters; Nancy Bell in 2012, Ruth Williams in 1951, brother; Charles Williams in 2012. Robert is survived by two sons; David and Michael Williams both of Battle Creek, grandchildren; Sarah (Mark) Colwell, Brandi Williams, Hunter Williams, Cody Williams, Abby Williams, great-grandchildren; Bredan Colwell, Trevor Colwell and Marrah Colwell. Friends are being received on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 am, Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. James M. Gysel officiating, interment to follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
