Robert E. Perry, Age 69, Of Battle Creek, Died Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Robert was born on June 23, 1943, in Battle Creek, the son of Earl and Helen (Patterson) Perry. He had been a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Lakeview High School in 1961. He attended Kellogg Community College for about 7 years in the 60’s and was student number 51. On April 13, 1979 he married his wife of 33 years, the former Mary Marlene Grenier who survives. He was employed at Kellogg’s for 28 years in IPU printing and was the treasurer in the IPU Union. He then worked for Grain Miller Union for 2 years. In his younger years he enjoyed golfing and bowling in the Kellogg Leagues and then in his later years enjoyed computers and his love for God and his family. Surviving are children, Tammy (Dan) Case, Teri Zaborski, Tim (Patty) Blankenship and Mike Heinrich all of Battle Creek; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Darlene Moore, Judy (Sam) Castanier and Diane (Tom) Robertson all of Battle Creek; brothers, Terry (Lois) Perry of Fremont, NE, Ken Perry of Three Rivers, MI, and Patrick Perry of Grand Rapids, MI; 11 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother John Perry. A memorial service was held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment was at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. www.henryfuneralhome.org
