Robert Lopshire

Robert L. "Bobby" Lopshire, age 69, of Marshall, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Oaklawn Hospital. He was born May 29, 1945 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Robert Henry and Veronica (Olesko) Lopshire. Robert was a 1964 graduate of Harper Creek High School where he played football and worked as a custodian at the school during his senior year. Following graduation he lived and worked in Florida and Colorado before returning to the Battle Creek area in 2003. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, and a member of the North American Fishing Club. Robert is survived by three brothers: Ronald (Susan) Lopshire , Raymond (Diane) Lopshire and Ralph (Patricia) Lopshire all of Battle Creek; several cousins, aunts and uncles; and his best friend, Harley Tanner of Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Robert L. Zuhl officiating.
