Robert W. Case, 83, of Battle Creek, died Friday, March 20, 2015 at his home. He was born November 2, 1931 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Carl E. and Thera M. (Darby) Case. Bob attended Battle Creek Central High School and later enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served during the Korean War. He was stationed in the Aleutian Islands and served aboard the tanker USS Tombigbee. Bob retired from Post Cereals in 1993, was a member of the American Legion Post 298, loved to bowl, play softball, golf, camp, fish and travel with his family. He is survived by four children: Joan Case of Kalamazoo, David (Lauren Bacigalupi) Case of Philadelphia, PA, Rob (Jeanne) Case of Portage and John (Heidi) Case of Charlotte; 7 grandchildren: Jennifer and Carly Sawyer, Nicholas, Emily, Ian, Amelia and Lucas Case. 2 great-grandchildren: Gabriel Case and Harrison Ellis. Bob is also survived by his long time life partner Judy Hall and her daughter April Hull and her five children: Nathan Hile, Kayleigh, Cadence, Emily, Gracelyn Hilyard. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Robert L. Zuhl officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
