Ricky Lee Anthony, Sr, age 64 of Battle Creek, died Friday December 9, 2022, at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. He was born September 24, 1958, in Battle Creek, Michigan. Rick was a 1976 graduate of Pennfield High School where he played baseball and was a starting pitcher. He had worked as a machinist at Hoover Universal in Charlotte for 20 years and most recently worked at Duncan Aviation. Rick was the best handyman and could fix anything. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Suzette (Trowbridge); they were married August 20, 1988. Also surviving are his children: Heather (Jason) Liss of Battle Creek, Brett L. Anthony of Missouri, Ricky L. Anthony Jr. of Battle Creek and Jimmy (Beth) Primm of Battle Creek; six grandchildren; his parents Clair and Sandra Anthony of Vermontville; two sisters: Jacqueline (Randy) Blair of Florida and Linda (Jim) Clair of Battle Creek; two half-sisters: Denise Renner and Tammy McComb; several sister and brother in laws and many nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by a son John David Primm and half-sister Barbara Damon. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association. www.henryfuneralhome.org
