Rickey Lee Wilkey of Battle Creek, Michigan went to be with the lord June 14, 2020 at 4:50 a.m. at home surrounded by his Wife, Daughters and Sister-in-law Kris. Rick is the son of Willie Francis Wilkey (Howard) and Hubert Wilkey born on September 27, 1962. Rick was born and raised in Battle Creek, graduating from Pennfield High School. Rick provided for his family with a career in construction work and a passion for landscaping. Nobody worked harder than him! Some of Rick’s favorite things were spending time with his family, cookouts, playing with his dogs, being with his Grand Babies, fishing, raising fresh water fish, car shows, his favorite car was a 1932 Ford Coupe, football fan of Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowgirls, we mean Cowboys (lol), he loved his smashed bologna sandwiches and sweet ice tea, and racing slot cars with his lifelong friend Greg Benton. Rick also collected die-cast collectable cars and hot wheels over the years. Rick was a man of loyalty, honesty, trustworthy, hardworking, reliable, loving, and selfless. He was the guy you could always count on. Rick is survived by his Wife Shawn Wilkey, Daughters by Julie Schott, Patricia Wilkey (Durrell) and Tonya Wilkey (Adam). Rachel Obert and Kaitlyn Wilkey by Shawn Wilkey. Grand Babies Anye`, Adrianna, Bryan, Noah, De’Anthony, Dayleona, Chelsea, DeWayne, Graylee, David, and Lauryn. Everyone that knew Rick knew that his deepest love was for his wife Shawn, Daughters, Grandbabies and dogs Levi and Mo. In heaven with him are both parents, older brother Jack Ray Hall and Hubert Andy Wilkey. Siblings survived are Brenda Joyce Burt and Donald Lee Hall. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Graveside services are scheduled to follow the visitation at 1:30 p.m. at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Following services, gathering held at Tonya’s house, bring a dish to pass (optional) and a lawn chair if you got one! Contact daughters for location.
