Richard Schumaker

Richard H. Schumaker, 92, of Battle Creek passed away Sunday December 23, 2012 at the Laurels of Bedford. He was born on February 7, 1920 in Battle Creek to Ebben O. and Frances B. (Sturdevant) Schumaker.
Richard was employed by United Steel and Wire, U.S. Register, and Emmerson Trucking and Storage. He was united in marriage to Katherine (Stacy), she preceded him in death in 1972. Richard then married Ethel M. (Dunham) who preceded him in death on November 25, 2000.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Nancy Sawdy, of FL; and a nephew, Jack Clifford, of NC.
Richard was also preceded in death by a step-daughter, Dolores E. Keck, two sisters, Irene Richmond and Jeanette Fletcher.
Services will be held 2:30 pm Friday December 28, 2012 at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Chapel. Family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Thursday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association.
