Richard Case

Richard L. Case, age 64, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Borgess Medical Center. Rick was born August 1, 1953 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Donald R. and Edith M. (Segur) Case. A 1971 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Rick worked in the heating and cooling business for many years. He was an avid University of Michigan fan and a fan of Detroit sports, loved to play golf and cookout. Rick especially enjoyed his animals especially his cat Stoli. On May 3, 1986 he was married to Kay L. (McElgunn), who survives. He is also survived by his mother Edith M. Jacoby; two children: Jim and Allison; several grandchildren; stepson Brian (Shannon) Watkins; sister Vickie Wagner; two brothers: Dan and Cliff Hickman; three sisters-in-law: Sheryl Troutner, Vickie (Chris) Davis and Dawn Britton; two special nephews: Nick and Josh Davis as well as many other nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his father; two brothers: Roland and Robert Case and a sister Pamela Randal. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Siddall officiating.
