Raymond Iler, Jr.

Raymond K. Iler, Jr. age 64 of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at his home. He was born December 12, 1949 in Marshall, Michigan the son of Raymond Kenneth and Donna Elizabeth (Lake) Iler. Ray was a 1968 graduate of Harper Creek High School and following graduation enlisted in the Marine Corps where he served two years in Viet Nam. He retired from the Federal Center after more than 20 years of service. Ray loved the Oakland Raiders, Harley Davidsons and his best “four legged” friend Timmy.  Surviving is his sister, Carol Williams of Portage; niece, Lashonia Leonard of Paw Paw; great-nephew, Alex; and three great-nieces: Samantha, Maya and Vanessa. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fort Custer National Cemetery with Rev. James Codde officiating and military honors presented by the U.S. Marine Corps. The family will receive friends at the Richard A.
