Ralph R. “Russ” Brandenburg, age 92, of Battle Creek, died Thursday, April 26, 2018. Ralph was born on August 5, 1925, in Battle Creek, the son of Ralph L. and Mable (Embree) Brandenburg. Russ was a 1943 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII. On November 27, 1948, he was united in marriage to the former Marjorie A. Wilson who survives. Russ worked for the Kellogg Company in instrument repair from 1966 until his retirement in 1987. Russ also worked as a television and appliance repair technician for Ken Sholes TV and Appliance from 1954 to 1978. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and volunteered 5 years with Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed wood working and could fix anything. Surviving are his children, Dave (Judy) Brandenburg, Daniel (Nancy) Brandenburg, Diane(Charles) Hanton, Denise Lynch, Dennis (Jutta) Brandenburg and Dale (Evelyn) Brandenburg; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Russ was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Lynch. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5 to 8:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
