Phyllis Taggart

Phyllis E. Taggart, age 94, of Battle Creek, passed away on February 22, 2023, at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo.  She was born on June 11, 1928, the daughter of Adrian and Neva (Loveland) Farr.  Phyllis attended school in Grand Rapids, Hastings and Battle Creek.  She was a home maker and member at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed music, theater, traveling, especially to England and Hawaii, playing Bunko, Canasta, reading, crossword puzzles, watching tv, and was an avid Jeopardy fan.  Phyllis especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She was married to  Bowne Taggart in 1945 after he returned home from serving during WWII , he preceded her in death in 1988.  Also preceding her in death are her parents, son,  Gary Taggart, sister, Janice Beltz,  grandson, Jason Michael Taggart and a special friend, Al Truman.  She is survived by her sons; Ron P. Taggart, Bruce L. (Diane) Taggart, grandchildren; Robert, Scott, John, Chris, Erin, Holly, Allen, Lisa, Tracy and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  Funeral service scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2022 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Pastor Janet Wilson of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church officiating.  Interment to take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
