Peter Russell

Peter R. Russell, age 54, of Battle Creek, went to be with the Lord and family on February 14, 2021.  Peter was born on June 6, 1966 in Battle Creek, the son of Michael and Donna (Heise) Russell.  Peter was a 1984 graduate of Springfield High School.  He was employed by the Battle Creek Country Club as a groundskeeper from 1987 to 1998, and previously worked at Riverside Country Club and The Moors Golf Club.  Peter loved golf, hunting, fishing, and was an avid Poker and Euchre player which he enjoyed weekly games with  his family and friends.  Peter was especially proud of getting two deer this year during  hunting season.  He was preceded in death by his father.  Surviving is his mother; Donna Russell, brothers; Donald and Michael Russell, sister; Colleen Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.   In compliance with current State of Michigan orders, masks are required and the number of persons in the funeral home is limited to 25.  Private funeral services will take place, with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.   Condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
