Paul J. Komarck, age 88, of Sarasota, Florida and formerly of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017. He was born January 28, 1929 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Frank G. and Anna H. (Frcak) Komarck. Paul graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1947 and was the President of Komarck, Inc. for over 30 years operating Komarck’s Markets. A former member of the Pennfield Lions Club and Marywood Country Club, Paul loved to play golf, bowl, hunt and fish. On July 2, 1949 he was married to the former Jeanette E. Cable at St. Philip Catholic Church. Paul is survived by his wife Jeanette E. Komarck of Sarasota, FL; daughter Paulette (Rick) Schott of Kalamazoo; grandson Timothy Schott of Kalamazoo; two sisters: Ann Ure and Angie Hinton both of Battle Creek; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Terry Paul Komarck and brother John Komarck. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Philip Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Richard A.
