Patricia Jean (Lingholm) Vincent of Battle Creek, MI was born April 24, 1952, in Streator, IL and died April 30, 2024 in Kalamazoo, MI. On this day the world lost one of the best it has ever seen. We will all miss her immensely until we can see her again.
Pat’s life was centered around her family and they meant the world to her. She was the most loving, caring, giving person and made sure her family knew how much she loved them regularly. We will all miss hearing her say “I love you”. She was the second child of Eugene and Winifred (Hutchinson) Lingholm, and the sister of Larry, Anita, Jim and Pam. Pat was married to Bruce Vincent for 44 loving years. They have two children, Amanda (Keith) Crozier and Scott (Stephanie) Vincent. In her later years Pat’s favorite thing was spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. She had such a special bond with each of them. She will be greatly missed by Audrey and Adler Crozier, and Grace and Owen Vincent. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Pat is preceded in death by her father and mother, father and mother-in-law (Keith and Janette Vincent), brother Jim Lingholm, and brother-in-law Gary Henline.
Pat and Bruce loved road trips throughout Michigan. They went on many family camping trips, trips to the Upper Peninsula, and day drives along Lake Michigan. Many of these trips included stops at the lighthouses Pat loved so she could take an endless number of photographs.
After graduating from Maple Valley High School, Pat spent most of her career working for Battle Creek Health Systems where she developed many friendships. She also had a few shorter but very special jobs. She worked as an EMT for Nashville Ambulance and Bedford Rescue where she met Bruce. In retirement she had part time jobs at Binder Park Zoo where she loved getting to see all of the animals (especially the giraffes) and at Purdy School where she loved bonding with the children.
Pat was also very committed to her love of God and her church. She was a member of Baseline Church for many years. She loved the small family feel of the country church, and the positive message about God she could be part of.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Baseline Church. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Interment will happen at a later time in private for the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Baseline Church. Arrangements by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services. www.henryfuneralhome.org
