Peck, Patricia Ruth “Pat,” age 94, born in Battle Creek on July 13, 1928 to Paul and Irene Wagner, unexpectedly passed away Friday, July 29, 2022. Pat had attended Post Elementary, Southeastern, and Battle Creek Central High School before becoming a devoted mother and servant of her church community.
She was loyal to her religious beliefs and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Legion of Mary, St. Vincent DePaul, and the Council of Catholic Women. Pat was a Eucharistic Minister bringing communion to homebound parishioners. She also helped care for the facility, set up funeral arrangements and dinners, and took part in organizing Christmas programs including Christmas baskets for those in need.
Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and devoted friends. She worked for her brother Dale and his wife Mary Wagner at Ruggles Gift Shop. In her younger years, Pat enjoyed square dancing, playing the hammered dulcimer, singing with The Country Strings group, traveling & camping during the summers, and playing cards with her family. She was a chef at heart and could make a meal out of most anything. Her grandchildren will forever remember her as the shakeologist of the family as they could always count on a chocolate or strawberry malt before bed.
Patricia is survived by her brother and sister in-law Dale and Mary Wagner, Sister in-law Norma Wagner, her two sons (Lawrence Fay Peck and Tracy Matthew Peck), five grandchildren (Steven, Scotty, Andy, Amy, and Jessica), and eight great-grandchildren (Brendan, Demaris, Louiza, Jordan, Andrew Jr, Vincent, Alexander, and Jeorgia), and many nieces and nephews along with countless devoted friends whom she spoke very highly of such as Dr. William and wife Diane Bogan and Kathy Swonk.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Andy Peck, husband Lloyd Peck, brother Richard Wagner, and long-time friend of 28 years Sister Cyrilla Jegla.
