Patricia Knell

Patricia Ann “Pat” Knell, Age 80, of Battle Creek, Died Monday, May 30, 2016. Patricia was born on May 8, 1936, in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Sherlie and Hallie (Winton) Vaughn. She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in 1954. On November 21, 1953, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Richard C. Knell who survives. Patricia had been employed as the Chief Ambulatory Care at the V.A. Medical Center retiring after 30 years of service. She attended Birchwood United Methodist Church, volunteered at the food bank, Salvation Army soup kitchen and attended TOPS. Patricia enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving is a daughter Victoria Marie (Gary) Orr; son, Steven L. Knell; granddaughters, Andrea (Casey) Guehl and Crystal (David) McCormick; great grandchildren, Elise and Brant McCormick, Allison Guehl; in addition an eldest son, Richard V. Knell and family also survive. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 7:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday June 3, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
